Love God. Love People.
Being engaged in church is about more than merely attending Sunday services. We want to be a church where people new to church love to be. In order to be that kind of church, we need the help of people who share our passion for leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. If you share that passion, you can fully engage in the life of the church by doing four things: Connect. Serve. Give. Invite.
Growing spiritually doesn't happen when we know what Jesus says. It happens when we apply what he says. Application happens best within the context of community. To grow spiritually, you will want to be connected with others.
The "one-another" orientation of Christianity is what causes us to do better and best things for others. When people engage in serving others it leads to greater life and greater community. God calls us all to serve one another. Making a difference happens all week and every day at Heartwood Church as we serve in small groups on Sunday morning at KidVenture, as we gather together for small groups during the week and as we serve on ministry teams during the week in our community.
Churches, like any non-profit organization provide their unique value to a community because of the willingness of volunteers and the kindness of donors. When someone gives of their time and resource purely for the benefit of others, this is evidence that God is loving on someone. When God wanted to show love He gave. Check out John 3:16. As we get more engages in church and more aware of what God is doing, we will invest in others more freely.
Thank you for your interest in the ministries of Heartwood Church. Your financial support and volunteerism enables us to create environments that we can proudly invite others to enjoy. By the way, if you have not come to see us or if its been a while since your last visit, we invite you to come and see all that God is doing at Heartwood Church.
